Fertilization
We use only the best controlled release fertilizers with organic matter. Because release is controlled, your lawn will benefit from long feeding cycle which results in a strong and more even growth. Our approach not only achieves a better color for your lawn, but it also maintains a normal mowing schedule for you. We have a lawn care program to fit all needs and budgets you won’t be disappointed!
Broad leaf Weed Control
In mid-spring, we treat for dandelions and more than 50 other common lawn weeds. Then we watch for any new invaders throughout the year, and we eliminate them at no extra charge.
Crabgrass & Annual Weed Prevention
One or more applications are made in early spring to prevent crabgrass and/or controllable annual weeds from invading the lawn throughout the season.
The pre-emergent creates a barrier on top of the soil and kills seed sprouts that come in contact with this barrier. It's best not to thatch your lawn after the herbicide application, as doing so may break the barrier. Mowing your lawn a little higher also helps prevent these seeds from germinating, as crabgrass hates the challenge of a healthy, lush lawn. Thick turf also shades the crabgrass seeds so they can't sprout.
As the herbicide also kills grass seed, it's best to wait several months before applying new seed to your lawn. That's one reason why Eco-Lawn recommends applying the pre-emergent herbicide in the spring and seeding your lawn in the fall.
Grub Protection: (can be add to any program)
We provide season-long protection against damaging lawn grubs. An unprotected lawn can be wiped out completely before the homeowner even knows they are there.
The White Grub, which lives in the soil, is one of the most commonly known pests in our area. These grubs will feed on the root system of your lawn, causing severe damage. When grubs feed on the root system, the plant is unable to absorb water or nutrients and it can die.
Controlling these pests can be easy if Eco-Lawn System make a preventive application for season-long control. Treatment is performed as grubs come to a peak in early/mid June through July. Damage from grubs usually shows up at the end of the summer or early fall. Reseeding may be necessary, depending on the severity of the damage.
Insect Protection: (can be add to any program)
We eradicate summer lawn-damaging insects, such as sod web worms and chinchbugs.
Late Fall Feeding
A special late fall feeding known as “winterizing” is designed to carry the treatment made this year into next spring. That's how great lawns are made—by compounding the improvement from one season to the next.
Core Aeration: (can be add to any program)
With this procedure, we remove small plugs of soil throughout your lawn to improve the flow of air, water, and fertilizer into the root zone of the lawn. This remedies “root choking” compacted soil problems. It is also effective in reducing the build-up of thatch and disease in the lawn.
Disease Control: (can be add to any program)
If disease threatens your lawn, we use organic disease control to stop the spread of almost any disease.
Continuous Monitoring
Your lawn is inspected, and its needs determined, before the first treatment is made. Thereafter, each treatment is recorded, and the lawn is continuously monitored to insure that it is progressing on schedule.
